IDF Spokesperson:
The Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael Eric Kurila, landed in Israel this week (Monday) as the official guest of the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Herzi Halevi.
The commanders held a strategic meeting that dealt with assessing the regional situation and examining courses of action to deal with threats and developments in the Middle East.
The two discussed a variety of possible scenarios, on both near and far fronts, while strengthening operational cooperation and improving preparedness for any scenario.
The visit sends a clear message about the importance and significance of the strong strategic relationship between the IDF and the US military.

IDF Spokesperson:
IDF surveillance identified earlier today (Wednesday) a number of vehicles traveling near the buffer zone in southern Syria, carrying weapons and ammunition. An IAF aircraft fired evasive fire near the vehicles, causing them to move away from the point.
The IDF is deployed in the area and will continue to operate to protect the State of Israel and its citizens.
