Nelle ultime ore le IDF sono state impegnate a rimuovere i sospettati che rappresentavano una minaccia per le forze che operavano nella Striscia di Gaza.
Un aereo dell'aeronautica militare ha aperto il fuoco per respingere un veicolo sospetto che si stava dirigendo verso nord dal centro della Striscia di Gaza senza ispezione, in un'area non autorizzata al passaggio secondo l'accordo, violando così le linee guida concordate. Il veicolo continuò a muoversi verso nord.
Inoltre, le forze dell'IDF hanno condotto azioni di fuoco evasive in diverse zone della Striscia di Gaza per respingere i sospettati che si stavano dirigendo verso di loro e rappresentavano una minaccia per i combattenti presenti nella zona.
Le IDF sono determinate a implementare pienamente i termini dell'accordo per restituire i rapiti, pronte a qualsiasi scenario, e continueranno a prendere tutte le misure necessarie per rimuovere qualsiasi minaccia immediata per i soldati delle IDF.
