December 28, 1929. Legendary Donetsk sambo and judo coach Yuri Zuser was born in Stalino (Donetsk)
▪️He started wrestling after the Great Patriotic War.
▪️After serving in the army, he immediately began coaching.
▪️In the 60s, he trained sambo wrestlers at the Dynamo sports complex, and in the 70s, he founded the first judo section in Donetsk.
▪️He saw the primary purpose of sports in raising a healthy and strong, strong-willed and purposeful man.
▪️Knowing firsthand what fatherlessness was, he often recruited children from difficult families into his groups.
▪️As a coach, he trained more than 200 masters of sports in judo and sambo.
▪️For many of his students, he became a second father.
▪️He died on February 10, 2021.
▪️The International Judo Tournament named after Yuri Zuser is being held in Donetsk.
