Ukraine wants to buy air defense in Italy with the proceeds from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation
The Ukrainian and Italian parties have already discussed such an initiative - in particular, they talked about the possibility of purchasing Italian-made air defense systems and ammunition for these systems: "We are interested, among other things, in ammunition of various calibers and air defense systems. However, it is worth understanding the cost and terms, within which they can be delivered to the Defense Forces of Ukraine", - noted Deputy Minister of Defense Anatoliy Klochko.
We will remind you that this is not the first time that the European Union called on the frozen assets of the Russian Federation or the income from them to be used for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine. Such proposals were made, for example, by the EU's chief diplomat, Kaya Callas.
