Every now and then there were residents who came to see what remained of their homes or to take some personal belongings, but only ten residents, most of them elderly, returned to Metula since the ceasefire was declared. Signs of neglect were evident everywhere.

We must say again, we will never be able to eliminate all Hamas sympathizers. Their numbers in Gaza constitute an endless supply. And we will not destroy the last rockets or the last RPG shells. If we do not exploit the achievements now, we will find ourselves drowning and bleeding there for years to no avail and without the prisoners, the few of whom are still alive.

- That's why it was hard to sympathize with him this week, when Ben-Gvir himself forced him to move from the hospital to the Knesset to prevent the coalition from losing humiliatingly. Netanyahu is the last person to be affected by this kind of humiliation. He is willing to submit to any humiliation or torture, on the condition that he remains prime minister.
