IDF Attacks Infrastructure Used to Transfer Weapons on the Syria-Lebanon Border
Earlier today (Friday), IAF fighter jets attacked infrastructure at the Janta Crossing on the Syria-Lebanon border, which was used to transfer weapons through Syria to the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
The Hezbollah terrorist organization uses civilian infrastructure to carry out terrorist acts and transfer weapons, intended to carry out terrorist plots against the citizens of the State of Israel.
Hezbollah's effort is led by Unit 4400, the reinforcement unit of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which is responsible for smuggling weapons into Lebanese territory from Iran and its proxies, and is working to increase the terrorist organization's stockpile of weapons as much as possible.
Since its establishment, Unit 4400 has built numerous strategic routes on the border Syria-Lebanon.
During the war and as part of Operation Northern Arrows, the Air Force, under the precise direction of the Intelligence Branch, carried out extensive attacks and numerous assassinations intended to target Unit 4400 and the various arms transfer routes.
These efforts include the assassination of Unit 4400 commander Muhammad Ja'far Katzir in early October in Beirut and his intended replacement, Ali Hassan Gharib, a few weeks later in Damascus. Alongside them, several other senior commanders in the unit were assassinated.
These attacks are another part of the IDF's effort to disrupt the transfer of weapons from Syrian territory to Lebanese territory and to make it difficult for the terrorist organization Hezbollah to restore the weapons transfer routes.
The IDF will continue to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel, in accordance with the understandings of the ceasefire agreement.

The hospital serves as a Hamas terror center in the northern Gaza Strip, from which terrorists operated throughout the war.
